It was lovely to attend the first debate at MK College, taking thoughtful questions from students. It was an opportunity to highlight:
- Our positive sustainability agenda: boosting renewable energy from 6.5% to 48% since 2010.
- Reducing plastics bags use by 98% through a charge and removing over 6 billion pieces annually of plastic by banning plastic straws, stirrers and cotton buds.
- Investing billions into the skills agenda this parliament, including in MK College via the South Central Institute for Technology.
I am grateful all the kind feedback from the students after - when we go out and talk about what we have done and what are plans are - we gain support!
