Delighted to join Milton Keynes College Community Day event today: litter picking and planting flowers with students. That community spirit - as well as the work and skills colleges provide for our City - are vital.
A timely visit as this week, we announced we are providing more support for apprentices, with a £60 million new investment to enable up to 20,000 more apprenticeships, including for young people and small businesses. This builds from the 24,000 apprenticeship starts in Milton Keynes, with our reforms both improving standards and effectively doubling the amount of funding and in particular to enable more SME's to participate.
